My exchange at the University of Pennsylvania was a transformative and unforgettable chapter of my academic journey, rich with intellectual exploration, cultural discovery, and personal growth. Immersed in a hands-on, practice-oriented learning environment, I took courses that emphasized real-world application through case studies, team projects, and collaborative problem-solving.
One highlight was developing cost-analysis software with a U.S. company while researching India’s electric vehicle market and related government policies—an experience that deepened both my technical knowledge and global perspective. Penn’s open, discussion-driven classrooms sharpened my critical thinking and academic expression, while the professors' inclusive approach encouraged me to challenge assumptions and embrace diverse viewpoints.
Outside of class, I actively participated in student organizations, and club activities, which allowed me to connect with peers from around the world and experience the richness of a truly global campus. Living independently in a new country pushed me to improve my time management, budgeting, and adaptability, while using English daily enhanced my communication skills and confidence. One of the most memorable moments came during the U.S. presidential election. Being on campus at such a politically charged time gave me a unique perspective on American society. It was eye-opening to see democracy in action, not just from textbooks but right in front of me. This immersive experience not only strengthened my academic and interpersonal skills but also confirmed my passion for working in international, cross-cultural environments and laid a strong foundation for my future global career.
