Professor Tariq S. Durrani is Professor at the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, and has been Deputy Principal from 2000-2006. He is now the Vice President at the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) and the Deputy Convener of the RSE¡¯s International Committee. From 2006-2007 he was President of the Engineering Management Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
